You’re worried in two regards. First, I’m late. That’s because I have scheduled servicing going on at the house right now, and I had someone come by and give me an estimate on air duct cleaning. The other thing is how, on the second day of the month, did we go from A to G in the alphabetical countdown?
Hey, it’s not my fault! I was only six years old back then and couldn’t get them to name songs with B’s, C’s, and D’s that would show up on a list sixty years later.
But get rockin’, ‘cause here we go!
Good Lovin’ - The Young Rascals
Also known as The Rascals, I guess they dropped the “Young” part when they turned 21.
This was the first in a string of hits for the Young Rascals/Rascals. Regardless of whether they were young or old, they had the hits: this one, which was the first of three #1 hits they had, “People Got to Be Free,” and their wonderful misheard lyric song “Groovin’” (“you and me and Leslie”
).
This one will get you rockin’!

I remember the Rascal's being the Rascal's...but not the young part. I know they started out with that name, but by the time I was old enough to hear or appreciate their music, they had dropped the young thing. (Sigh...don't we all?)

A song like "Groovin'" isn't a "YOUNG" song, so they were just Rascals by then.

Groups changing names is hard to keep up with at times. I do remember some singers seeming to struggle with somewhat of an identity crisis--John Cougar Mellencamp comes to mind here. First he was John Cougar, then he was John Cougar Mellencamp, and now he is John Mellencamp. Good grief.

We knew song but not artist. We thought it was a different artist. Hubby thought Spencer Davis Group.
