The Fraudster Has Begun Again

Every spring for the past four years I start getting calls from these fraudsters saying they are a law firm and they have an account I supposedly owe. Immediately this time around I tell them I would do nothing over the phone. If they feel I owe something they would need to mail me information and then I hang up. This happened several times in late February. Then in March they started leaving messages saying there was an issue with my 'account' and to call back with the reference number they give. I know they are both from the same place because they both give me the same reference number. I get so tired of it. Sometimes it comes in as a possible spam and I usually don't answer it but other times it doesn't and I don't know if it's from my insurance or the driver calling for one of the kids to tell them when they be here to pick them up for an appointment.
I know I don't owe anything anywhere because my credit is very good and surely a legitimate bill collector would show on my credit if it hasn't been paid. I am keeping their messages too proving they are the same place. I wish I knew of some authority to report them to.
It really gets old that they continually call every spring. I just give them my spill and move on.

There are three numbers you can call and ask for help. Call them, tell them everything you know about the caller and tell them you need help.
Federal Trade Commission (FTC): 1-877-FTC-HELP (1-877-382-4357).
National Elder Fraud Hotline: 833-FRAUD-11 (833-372-8311).
FBI (General Fraud): 1-800-CALLFBI (225-5324).

They would be so annoying. I think here there is somewhere where we can report these sorts of calls. Can you not block the number? Maybe next time they call have a whistle handy and blow it very loudly into the phone. It might put them off for next time.

I've been getting a call for years from a collection agency for someone named George Richardson. You would think by now that they would stop calling since their calls go unanswered, No one here by that name,
