Easter Greetings (a day early)

Happy Saturday Everyone! sunny for starters but rain coming later this afternoon. It's warm enough to have the sliding door open. The pup is sitting there watching the birds and enjoying the fresh air. It's been a busy morning getting ready for Easter tomorrow and family coming. I'm looking forward to a family day and seeing everyone even though it's supposed to rain. Good thing my grandkids are big now and we don't have to worry about doing an Easter egg hunt outside Of course, some traditions still hold true ... like everyone will still expect their chocolate bunny. Among the group of chocolate bunnies waiting for tomorrow is one lonely white one. My daughter has always gotten a white bunny for Easter ever since she was little. I only found out recently that my Uncle gets a white bunny every Easter too. Now we know where she gets her fondness for white chocolate. Do you still enjoy a chocolate bunny for Easter? or maybe a white one? What's your favorite "can't not have" candy when Easter rolls around. Don't know how much time I'll have to spend here today (or tomorrow) but certainly wish everyone who is celebrating a Very Happy Easter!!

Have a wonderful Easter with your family. I celebrate Passover, so no candy for me unless it’s kosher for Passover.

@Marilynda1225 Thank you! We had a wonderful time, but she had to return Thursday to feed the cat and pick up the dog from overnight care. Her parents were away looking at schools with her brother.

I am sure that you and your family will have a wonderful time tomorrow, even if an egg hunt isn't on the agenda. Just being together....... I always buy our son and his wife a Lindt bunny, they both look forward to getting one since nobody else buys them candy. I put a bag of robin eggs with their candy. The twins got alot of chocolate and plastic eggs filled with candy. I buy a Lindt bunny for my hubs and I and it is in a nice big bowl filled with Easter grass and some robin eggs. Happy Easter!

@Marilynda1225 I wasn't able to find any jelly beans this year, those were my Dad's favorite, of course he's been gone for almost 17 years.

Those Lindt chocolate bunnies are really good. Funny how even as adults we still look for that chocolate bunny on Easter

Oh wow, that's a really nifty tradition. Mom only cooked us a special dinner for Easter after we grew up but never anything like chocolate bunnies.

I will eat white chocolate and dark chocolate but I still prefer milk chocolate the most. My favorite Easter candy was always the Reese's Peanut Butter eggs but the recipe was changed so I don't want them anymore. *shrug* Their loss, in my opinion. I'll have to look and see if the milk chocolate and caramel eggs are still the same. Those are my second favorite Easter candy. Hope you and your family have a wonderful Easter holiday!

@Marilynda1225 Thank you very much! Yes, I saw the nephew? I think, complained straight to the new owner of the business. IF I see the ingredients go back the way they were, then I might start buying them again.

I don't buy any holiday candy before the holiday anymore. I do love a chocolate bunny. But I wait until after to get any

I’m much more of a white chocolate person rather than regular milk chocolate bunny person. So is my stepmom as she is allergic to real chocolate. I like your tradition! It sounds like good amount of fun.

My daughter will be happy to hear that you're in the white chocolate fan club. Its been fun carrying some traditions from when my kids were growing up into the years of the grandkids. I'm a lover of traditions and remember some of my own from my parents and grandparents
