Found Another Awesome Song

Welsh singer Mary Hopkins was best known for her song “Those Were the Days”. She also sang many other memorable songs. The singer was a good friend of former Beatle Paul McCartney and he wrote this song. It is a sad and poignant song but very beautiful. The song is “Goodbye” and I found the video today where she sings this song and Paul McCartney is also there.
I am also sharing one of my poetic memes. The rose in the picture is the last rose in my garden in Latvia before I left forever.

She was one of the first people signed to the Beatles' label, Apple. Paul produced her albums as well as writing some of those songs. I think she had a great voice back then. Glad to see she's still alive, she's 75.

How sweet and touching! My father used to present my mama with "the last rose of summer". Our family name is actually McCartney, and I guess I am related to Sir Paul, distantly.
