Found Another Awesome Song

Welsh singer Mary Hopkins was best known for her song “Those Were the Days”. She also sang many other memorable songs. The singer was a good friend of former Beatle Paul McCartney and he wrote this song. It is a sad and poignant song but very beautiful. The song is “Goodbye” and I found the video today where she sings this song and Paul McCartney is also there. I am also sharing one of my poetic memes. The rose in the picture is the last rose in my garden in Latvia before I left forever.

@RasmaSandra Memories are such a strong emotion. I can still remember the excitement that I felt when I took our daughter out to have her first photos done. I felt amazingly happy-beyond words. I am so thankful that I took her out like that, she passed away just 36 hours after that photo session. The happiness that I still feel today from that memory has outlived the years since she has passed, although there are many many heart breaking memories surrounding that sadness.

@RasmaSandra What a very sweet dream you had. I have had a couple of dreams of my daughter, she always comes running to me, and just before I touch her soft little face, I wake up. I always feel so sad that I did not get to feel her soft skin again. But when I wake up from such a dream, I feel happy to have had it but sad to have not 'finished' it. I know that both you and I will have our babies come and take us by the hand to escort us from this earthly world to the next.

@Juliaacv virtual hugs I know just how you feel. I can tell you something true and totally amazing, but I guess that is why the world beyond is so different from our time on Earth. I gave birth to a stillborn daughter at the end of the 1990s, but I could manage because of my husband, who was always my rock. When he passed many years down the line he came to me in spirit and lay down beside me, and I could feel his hand holding mine, and suddenly I heard a little girl calling for her daddy. It appeared that it was the daughter we lost, and now she and her father got to know each other and were together, don't know how these things work, but I know in the afterlife a lot is possible.

How sweet and touching! My father used to present my mama with "the last rose of summer". Our family name is actually McCartney, and I guess I am related to Sir Paul, distantly.

She was one of the first people signed to the Beatles' label, Apple. Paul produced her albums as well as writing some of those songs. I think she had a great voice back then. Glad to see she's still alive, she's 75.
