War in Iran

I rarely write about politics and war, but in this small post, I am compelled to mention about the recent battle, which has been going on for 40 days between Iran and the USA, aided by Israel. In addition, nine other countries have joined this alliance led by the USA.. I will not say who is right or wrong, but definitely Iran has been nurturing and supporting terrorist groups in the Middle East. But I am surprised that the Americans have called off their attacks on Iran after 40 days of bombing. and agreed for a cease-fire. I must tell readers that I am a military historian, and hold a Post Graduate degree in military science. The conduct of this war has surprised me as the Americans have been unable to achieve their aims. The Islamic regime continues to be power in Iran and the contentious strait of Hormus remains in the control of Iran. I hope the matter is sorted out, but it is not going to be easy and all of us, could be sucked into this whirlwind.

I feel the war already lost its taste and strength. The warring sides seem to have achieved the desired intentions, especially on the side of the US.
