Many of us probably have friends and relations who say things like,"I don't follow the news; it's too depressing."
I try not to be judgmental, but I sometimes think such people are just being "intellectually lazy."
The fact is that most of us follow the news in some degree. At least I hope that's the case.
I try to "diversify" my news sources, as different outlets will "spin" the news differently, depending on on who is "buttering their bread."
When I am feeling "Conservative," I check in with FOX News, or the NY Post, or the Wall Street Journal. When I am feeling "Liberal," I check in with Meidas Touch, or CNN, or the New York Times.
I don't fully trust any single news source, so I try to be "balanced."
Do you have favorite news sources?

I think BBC Verify is spot on most of the time
They have been exposing Trump's lies on a daily basis since he came back into office

@Ineeddentures I may watch some FOX to see how they "frame" Trump's surrender in Iran.

When my husband was here he’d watch Fox News and then started watching Newsmax. I had to watch that too. I don’t really watch the news these days now that he’s not here.

@lovebuglena That's what I thought too, but I haven't watched it. If I want an ultra-conservative perspective, I watch FOX on YouTube (no TV here).

@TheHorse They seem to and are not afraid to make corrections when needed. So I am happy with them

@TheHorse ABC made me angry, so I won't watch that anymore, though I did watch it yesterday for the splashdown. I like NBC, but they're too talkative. I don't like talk shows. CBS is okay, but not a fan. And hey, at least Fox has football.

@LeaPea2417 Got it.Thanks. Are they as far "Right" as FOX? FOX is scuffling right now with what has happened to Trump.

Actually news is very bad for my anxiety but I get newsletter from Huffington Post and some others just to glance over and make sure that nothing is going to get dropped on my head.

I used to watch CNN, but now I get my news from Bing and the Newsbreak app. I also read The Atlantic.

I wouldn't say I was 'intellectually lazy ', but I am one of those people who don't follow the news. If I'm on the bus a get a free newspaper and I see news clips on the internet. I talk to a lot of people so I get a fair idea of what's going on in the world. I don't very often seek out news .
I do find a lot of the stories depressing but more than that I often find I'm left with more questions ...I feel most news reporters don't tell you enough about what they are reporting about. That frustrates me.

Cousin #2 send me a ton of videos on the news. That usually takes up my news time.
