Doctors in India ask patients to avoid red meat like that of mutton or goat meat. Instead they want patients to eat white meat like chicken. Generally red meat is more tasty including bone marrow and liver. White meat is consumed a lot but is not as tasty as that of red meat.

Red meat is always considered to be a risky factor in health. But then they are some who come up in support of it. I would say that going in moderation is the best thing to do. Just make healthy choices, exercise regularly, stay emotionally and mentally healthy. Most sickness stay away. These diet suggestions keep changing and can sometime really be confusing and misleading too.

@arunima25 thanks Arunimaji in the list of animals fishes are lower animals, so they have only gills and not developed stomach. Small river fishes are easy to digest. In comparison a goat is a higher animal a mammal having all the organs like humans like liver, kidney, stomach, intestines. So digesting a higher animal is always a task. People go for the red meat for the taste factor

@sathviksouvik Fish is a healthy choice. I am a vegetarian by choice otherwise but it is fish, I have it in moderation. I take eggs regularly.

Doctors in the United States have told us for decades to eat less red meat. There are higher chances of getting cancer if you eat red meat.
Then a few years ago someone came up with a diet that helps people lose weight, and it actually encourages people to eat red meat.
I’m not a big red meat eater.

I am dieting to lose weight. I was told to eat chicken or turkey but stay away from pork and mutton. I was also told not to eat internal organs of any animal.
Chicken and turkey are both delicious but I want beef and pork at times.

I would have no problem with that since chicken is my favourite meat .I wouldn't mind if that's all I could eat now.
