Yesterday was rough

I was a bit out of commission yesterday. I've been a bit unsteady on my feet for a little while. My dr suggested a walker or cane to help with the unsteadiness. I've put off buying one because to me it's what old people use and I don't feel old. Well yesterday morning as I was coming out of my bedroom I fell.ttI didn't so much hurt myself, there are no bruises or anything but I"m so very sore. I feel like I was in a boxing ring with Muhammad Ali. Ok, that may be a bit overstating it, but I am very sore. So this morning, as soon as Husband wakes up I will be heading to The Mission. The mission is a thrift store but when they get equipment like walkers, canes, wheelchairs, etc. they put them up and when someone comes in needing one they give it to them. No charge. So that's nice. I'm not sure if i want a cane or a walker. A cane is a bit easier to use, not bulky, but I wonder if a cane will give me the stability that I need. A walker is bulkier and may be a bit troublesome to move around but I do feel it will give me the stability that I need. So that's what my day looks like,

I'm sore as I can be but I'm ok. Tylenol and ibuprofen seem to be helping.

I'm sorry to hear that you fell and are very sore today. Hope you can find either a can or walker at The Mission. You certainly don't want to fall again and possibly break something.

Better safe than sorry I guess. Do you have a neurological disorder? You look quite young and pretty in your pics.

Falls can sure be scary. I started using my cane and it sure helps. We have a similar place here. Nice to have for seniors can sure use these gadgets. I went for the cane. I felt like the walker was a bit much. I think you can walk more naturally with a cane as a bit of support.

I also went for the cane. I was going to get the single cane, the one you normally see but I walked around with it for a bit and I didn't feel it offered great support so I got the cane with, I guess it's 4 feet, it really made me feel so much more supported

@celticeagle Hurry Cane, I like the play on words. I only had a choice between black and silver. I chose the black.
