I just have learned that a new consignment store has opened across from the convenience store just across the major drag. Instead of donating some nice dresses that I don't wear anymore I might try there. We'll see.
Do you put anything on consignment?

We don't have consignment stores close to us so we just donate still good clothing instead.

That's what we have been doing but these are nice dresses and I think I'll try consignment first.

On rare occasions my relatives and myself donate old clothes to the stores in my area.

That’s hilarious! I wrote about getting money from items I sold at a consignment shop yesterday.
It certainly doesn’t hurt to look around.
You’re lucky to have one so close to you, and I hope you can find some nice dresses for a good price.

@celticeagle That’s funny. Always happy to give ideas. I get them here at times, too.

Good luck with the consignment store. I haven't left anything on consignment since my MIL passed.

@celticeagle This was in 2000. I don't know if they still do it.

The only consignment stores in our area are geared to those in their early 20's.
So although they do exist, I am in my early 60's and my attire would never be accepted for resale in their shops.
Even my purses, none of which are designer, are not something that the younger crowd would be interested in.
I do donate my clothing to a place where people buy second hand clothing.
Years ago, I used to be able to sell our son's school uniform pieces at a consignment store. They were quite expensive to purchase, and the resale was great because teenagers are always growing and changing their tastes in uniform pieces.
