Is it okay of an employer who never hired you to forward your contact to someone else?

There are some firms where you need to sign a confidentiality closure and not speak a word of the firm but some firms or schools or institutions can forward your contact, without even asking you is that okay with you and no, they didn't hire you before or replied to your job application. So, they are doing all this without your permission in the first place. How would you feel? Is that right of them? And yes, the person who confessed how they got your contact were on the opposite side where you live so, some strange behaviour overall, isn't it?

That isn’t legal unless they have your permission. Hope your dentist appointment went well.

it's also bad manners and not a good job etiquette, i believe. well, this time, i found the school who did this to me and asked them in email to recommend me the next time to a closer school thanks for remembering that. it went good on last thursday, though it was exhausting. i'm going tomorrow again and after work. i hope it won't take long like the last time.

@valherma00 In the U.S., we submit a resume, have an interview or two with the principal, an interview with the superintendent of schools some times like I did, and then pray you get hired at the school you love. I’m sure your next appointment will be a breeze!

i think this happened to me the third time. you are right, very creepy. first time, i kind of complained that this isn't right, the second i ignored and this time, i emailed the school who didn't want to hire me and asked if they are forwarding my contact, to recommend me somewhere closer

That does not sound right at all, and I would not be very happy.

first time happening to me, i expressed my disatisfaction and the person felt offended, i mean. the second time i ignored the feeling and all and this time, i found the school who didn't hire but did this and ask them to recommend me somewhere closer.

No, unless they asked you first, it is out of line.

I don't believe I've ever heard of someone doing that.
