I've noticed a lot of talk about protein on here lately. I thought I'd post about how to tell if we aren't getting enough:
If you have swelling in the legs, feet, hands, or abdomen it could be from not eating enough protein.
This can also make a person feel depressed or overly aggressive.
Thinning hair, flaky skin, and deep ridges in the nails can be caused by a lack of proteins such as collagen, elastin and keratin.
Weakness and fatigue can also be caused by a lack of it.
Along with carbs and fat protein is one of the three sources of calories. Studies show that eating foods with protein help us to feel fuller.

If I worried each and every day of how much protein and other stuff I needed I would be on my bed with huge attack of anxiety, It is what it is and I do what I can to keep myself going each and every day,

Yes, it causes swelling too. My fingers would swell when I was pregnant and had eaten salt.

Everyone seems to be going mad about getting enough protein. It's starting to sound like another sales gimmick to me.

I know I don't eat enough protein. That's why I got some protein shakes to try and get more in.
