Time For Some Spring Cleaning

Happy Tuesday Everyone! looks like we'll be enjoying some summer weather the next few days. As much as I hate to have to put the a/c on I will enjoy the sunshine and warmth as long as it's not extremely hot and humid.
I had a busy morning working on my closet. Decided that it's time for some spring cleaning and what better to clean than my bedroom walk-in closet. Except it's become a place where things go to die and it's not really a walk-in anymore but a tread carefully and don't trip over anything closet.
With the donation truck coming on Thursday for a pick-up I'm looking for things I can add to the boxes I already have. Today I sorted through some boxes of shoes that I used to wear to work and will never wear them again. They're in good condition so hopefully someone will enjoy them.
After lunch I'm going to read my book as I'm 3/4 through and really need to know how it ends. I hate when I have to put down a really good book because silly things like house chores, etc need to get done.
Tonight we're having a quick and easy dinner (grilled chicken, rice and roasted baby carrots). It's girls night so I'm saving my calories for dessert. My older daughter is bringing something when she comes but I have no idea what it is. Something sweet I hope

I really wish I could just call somebody to pick up stuff I want to get rid of. When I lived in the burbs Purple Heart a vets group was great for that.

@Marilynda1225 I think I would know about it if they came. The houses here are probably too far apart, especially with the cost of gas..but you never know I guess. I think lots would have to be on board for them to do it.

Spring cleaning can be tedious but at the end of it, worth the effort.
Your post reminds me that the fiction book I have been reading is nearing the end.
May be I will try to complete it today.
On some days, I read around 100+ pages pretty fast.
Yet there have been many gap days as well.
The dinner sounds nice.
We had a good lunch, but had a kind of early dinner with Tea and snacks.
Now we are getting ready for some very busy days.

I packed up some of my winter clothes but left just a few in case it gets chilly again. Next week looks like we could drop in temperatures once again. Today I'm wearing a summer shirt and barefoot

I don't have anything consignment worthy but I do have some nice clothes and shoes I used to wear to work. So, when I reach that part of my closet I guarantee most of it will go out for donation.

My pickup was scheduled for today and we just got a notice they won't get here until next week. At least they said sorry.
Meanwhile we have to bring everything back inside until next week but it also gives us an added opportunity to add more stuff

You've inspired me to do some spring cleaning. I hope to declutter my drawers and parts of the house over the weekend. Is it already summer where you are? It's the dry season here and we've been experiencing heat waves. I stay indoors most of the time because it's cooler here. I turn on the AC only when it gets unbearably hot.

@almostoveryou hope your sister is recovering well from her cataract surgery. Guess we're all experiencing some sort of crazy weather
I can definitely relate to having to work in small increments. I can only do so much and then I have to rest. I miss the days when I could clean my whole house in one day and still have energy left.

Not summer here yet. Spring which is a battle of seasons where winter is trying to hang on and summer is fighting to arrive. Our temperatures go up and down so it's hard to figure out what to wear.

@Marilynda1225 My sister in Calgary is having the same weather confusion. One day it gets sunny and another day there'll be like 20cm of snow. She stays home of the time (as she's recovering from cararact removal surgery.)
I haven't done any massive decluttering but last night I finally got to put away some grocery bags that have been left on the floor for days. I can only do this work in small increments. I find it overwhelming to tackle bigger tasks. Hope your week is going well.

I love to read but haven't gotten that bad that I got so engrossed that I burned pots, etc. I have stayed up way past my bedtime though if a book is really really good.
