My younger sister, her family, and I went to a Chinese restaurant. I asked a waiter what the specialty that can be served is. She suggested the crab omelette, and I did have it. I felt dismayed that there was no garnish and the like when it was laid on the table. It was not that taste good, too. Unlike in the photo, it looks delicious, but it can be deceiving.
When you go to a restaurant, do you ask about its specialty?
Did you ever experience that the specialty food does not taste good when it is tasted?

That's not something I'd order. We order off the menu when we go to a decent restaurant but usually go places that have a buffet. The food is hot and frequently changed out.

I don't usually ask for specialties but there are a few things that I always get. I tend to want steak and lobster and if I can add shrimp. Now that's actual sit down restaurants which we don't go to often lol. I don't think I'll even go to one this year until our anniversary.

I usually just choose from the menu. I had prawn toast as a light lunch and it was delicious.

Some dishes can be overrated. I tend to think that they only say it's a bestseller just so people would order it more often.
I had a wonderful crab omelet experience at this restaurant in San Fernando, Pampanga. It didn't have garnishing but it tasted really good. I paired it with chicken sotanghon.
