@DaddyEvil yes actually they are cooking apples. Unless you have a sour tooth

@flapiz Crab apples are really sour. You have to cook them into jam or jelly so the sugar sweetens the apples.

Not in sub tropical area with semi deciduous and semi arid vegetation.
They grow in areas called Shimla and Kinnaur much north from our place.
That is Himalayas with heights starting from 2000 M above the sea level.
