Delicate and fragile, but what is it?

Once again, I’m stealing a photo that Vince took. He put it up on one of the photo websites that he belongs to.
The group has a weekly challenge and, on this occasion, the challenge was for other members to guess of what the image was. (See what I did there, @AmbiePam? It sounds a bit clumsy though.)
You might be able to guess too but in case you can’t, it’s part of a dragonfly wing. Isn’t it intricate? So much detail and segments in such a tiny thing. The photo has been enlarged a great deal but I’m sure you would have realised that.

Especially if you inadvertently put it in the microwave!

@JudyEv I had a lovely little Royal Dalton Christmas candy dish that my husband's nephew gave to me when we were still dating. I loved that little dish so much, I kept it perfectly wrapped in my hope chest and was so proud that first Christmas after we married, and I put it out every year after that. I did not always put anything into it, some years I did and others I did not. But I did have to throw it away last year when I hauled out the Christmas serving pieces because it was so badly crazed.

I never would have guessed that, that's for sure

@snowy22315 Quite likely. They might have had an 'insect' challenge once.

Was he using a macro lens when he took this photo?

I recognised that wing as I recently watched a David Attenborough (have you heard of him?) documentary on dragonflies and damselflies. Fascinating stuff. He showed the courtship and mating habits of the damselflies and it’s amazing they ever manage to reproduce. The males have to attach themselves to the females, and then they fly around joined together looking for a suitable watery nursery into which the female deposits her eggs. Quite a feat!

@JudyEv I’ve seen Wild Isles, it’s about the UK. There was so much I didn’t know about the place I live.
Do you know that Sir David is reaching the grand old age of 100 this year, and still managing to churn out superb documentaries.
I think the elephant goes to the greatest length to mate. Not that I’m an expert on such matters.

@JudyEv They say that two heads are better than one, but four? That’s just showing off!

That's exactly what I thought it was. I have one on the dresser where I keep my doll house and other treasures.

It looked more like Broken crockery.
So well it was difficult to imagine it as dragonfly wing.
Such "puzzles" do test us at times.
And interesting as well !

What an incredible photo! The detail in a dragonfly’s wing is truly fascinating—so delicate and beautifully intricate. Vince has a great eye for capturing such unique shots. I love the idea of the weekly challenge too; it makes the experience even more engaging

I would have guessed the photo showed the framework for a stained glass window without any glass in it yet. When I was still on Bubblews, a friend I'd made there made a stained glass art object. It was a partial moon with a red-haired woman sitting in the moonbow. (She gave the woman red hair to match Pretty's hair.) In our last house, the stained glass object was in an East facing window so it scattered rainbows across the kitchen in the early mornings. In this house, it's hanging on the East side of the kitchen but we have so many trees that the sunlight doesn't touch it.
Hang on a second...
Photo is mine. Stained glass art in my kitchen.

@JudyEv Thank you. I love it. I think my friend did an excellent job making it. I do miss the colors on the kitchen floor but have stopped looking for them after almost ten years in this house.

I thought it was some type of insect wing.
