This is my kind of gathering. I so would have participated in this if I knew about it and if I had a dinosaur costume (which I don't . . . yet).
But it just makes me smile to see all these dinosaurs in one place and people having fun at the silliness of it.
On April 11th of this year, The University of Calgary in Canada broke a strange world record - that being the largest gathering of people dressed as dinosaurs.
It was the school's 60th anniversary, so they thought this would be a way to celebrate it.
There were 682 people at the event dressed as dinosaurs.
They shattered the previous record of 468 held by the Cox Science Center and Aquarium in West Palm Beach, Florida (USA)

There was a kid who wore one of those costumes to Walmart every day for a month back when I still worked there five years ago or a little longer ago. As far as I know, none of us ever figured out who was wearing the costume.
He or She would come in, walk all over the store and then leave again around 10 am... I'd talk to them but they'd only nod or shake their head.

@JudyEv I'd think that would have been fun but I would have talked, if it was me.

We all need to think of ways to have more good, plain fun. This is one of those things.
There was a contest here a few years ago, to dress as your favorite cartoon character. It wasn't for Halloween, just in the summertime for anyone and they had it at a large local park. Cutest thing ever, people of all ages and walks of life, dressed in such cute costumes. Free hot dogs and drinks, etc. and everyone had such a good time.
Have you ordered a dinosaur costume yet?

I just find it weird but as long as they had fun doing it, not one to ruin it.
Just not my thing.

If you are going to break a world record ….make it a fun one . This would certainly have been fun , I would also have participated ( I would have had to get a costume , but I would have done )
