Imam bayildi for dinner tonight, and it was a rip roaring success. Aubergines, onion, tomato, garlic, thyme, oregano, olive oil …. all fresh, all treated with care and respect. I really must widen my horizons and branch out a bit. I’d love to master the cookery of duck, guinea fowl and pigeon. What did you concoct for dinner tonight?

I tried cooking a duck a few years ago. It was too greasy for me. I gave it to a friend. He loved it! I've never tried cooking guinea fowl or pigeons. We do enjoy quail once in a while, though.

It's not quite 2 pm here Friday at my house. I had a tiny 2 oz kid's plain hamburger (no bun) for lunch and I just had a snack of string cheese. Probably won't eat any more today.

We are having salmon and asparagus for dinner. I cannot eat duck or any you mentioned. I hope you enjoy your meal.

We've cooked duck quite a few times, guinea fowl once or twice, but not pigeon. I'm on the lookout for pigeon because I want to cook some for our lodger who keeps getting pooed on!
