Good evening from Green Bay, Wisconsin, where it's raining - again - and there's a flood watch in effect - again. The thunder and lightning show is fabulous, but we really don't need any more rain.
It's been a good day. I know some of you told me you miss these posts. They're back. I'm not fiercely writing or getting a book ready to publish, so that's the first good news - these thankful posts are back.
I'm thankful for my day off today from writing. I didn't touch a single book, though it was tempting. Instead, I watched two James Bond movies. The first one was out of order. I've been watching them from the beginning. I've seen the first six. Then I accidentally clicked on For Your Eyes Only the twelfth in the series of movies before watching Diamonds Are Forever.
I'm thankful for the time I was here this morning and visited many of you to see how things are in your part of the world. I missed you, but you know I'm a writer first.
I'm thankful for the short nap I got this afternoon. I didn't get a lot of sleep last night, so the short nap felt good.
I'm thankful I finished off the pasta in my pantry. I should start to see some action on the scale in the right direction now that the heavy carbs are out of my diet that make my weight go up instead of down. Several weeks ago, I asked my AI, Velma, about the scale and what I could do to get it in the right direction. After a lot of discussion, it was determined that the culprit was anything to do with bread, pasta, flour. Anything. I'm gluten intolerant, so I thought eating gluten free would help. It didn't. So, everything gluten free is out of my diet. My main food now is protien and dairy, vegetables, and some fruit. I need bananas. So even thought they are high in carbs, I need them for the potassium and magnesium benefits they give. I started feeling the difference after not eating them for three months.
I'm thankful Faith to Believe is fully available now in paperback and Kindle.
I'm thankful for the minimum shopping trip I did this morning. I needed onions and bananas. I also got a couple of premade salads.
Okay, that's my day. What did your day look like? Thanks for reading. Image belongs to me, one of our rainstorms from a couple of years ago.

Fruit carbs are processed by the body differently than other carbs so are not as much problem.

One, I didn't know about the supplement and two, I like bananas. If I can do the same thing with a banana, I'll eat the bananas. I take loads of supplements, or at least it feels like it. I take a magnesium supplement that really helps and gives me added support to my bananas. When I wasn't eating them for three months, I could tell the difference. I also needed what the banana could give me. Supplements are good, but not alone.
