Have you noticed the wild variations in music in 1956? That’s why I went back 70 years to celebrate the songs from then. Here’s an artist you definitely know…and one of his songs that you most likely do NOT know. Too Much Monkey Business - Chuck Berry The reason you’ve most likely not heard this is because the other side of the 45 had “Brown Eyed Handsome Man.” And, of course, oldies stations grab three or four Chuck Berry songs and play them to death as if they were the only three or four songs Berry ever recorded. I’m surprised this isn’t better known. It certainly describes the troubles of life perfectly (“never fails, in the mail, here comes a rotten bill”…”no need to be complaining, my objection’s overruled”). Oh, well, we all know the greatness of rock and roll’s daddy, whether we know all of his songs or not. This is one I enjoy, and I hope you do, too. I know this song. I quite liked My Ding A Ling and after that listened to some Chuck Berry stuff my dad had.

I believe it's your birthday. Have a very happy one. Spoil yourself rotten if no-one else does.

I did not know that Chuck Berry sang the song "Too much monkey business." since I am familiar with the Elvis Presley version.
