I like having projects to do "in the background." It "gives life meaning" when I am feeling frustrated, and keeps me busy when I otherwise might have been bored.
I just finished up a pair of Martin (Martin Guitars) coasters, and may start another pair this afternoon. These took only about three weeks to make,.
In this case, I did NOT stain them, and did NOT put felt bottoms on them. They are made of Mahogany, not the usual Spruce, They are already semi-dark in color, and the bottoms are as pretty as the tops.
Do you have on-going "projects" that keep you motivated?

I watch educational videos from YouTube. Sometimes I share the videos with you.

I love mahogany, it's one of my favorite woods. My father-in-law has a beautiful mahogany tree growing in his yard in South Florida, I always joke with him that I'm going to cut it down and make furniture out of it.
I don't usually have projects going in the background to keep me motivated, but I do have a list of travel places or local staycations around the state that I am always planning.

This one will end up about a yard square.
