We were tanked to see a tank

Now we’ve finished house-sitting and are home again, I have access to all my photos.
The collage is of the tank that was at the Military Museum in Nungarin. They were giving rides in the tank but it wasn’t cheap. When the tank stopped, a person would laboriously climb out the turret (is that the right word?) and in one photo, you can see someone clambering out the front.
I’m not sure how many the tank held but every time we thought they were all out, another one would squeeze out. After seeing how difficult they found it, I was glad I hadn’t gone for a ride. They might have had to use the jaws of like to get me out!

Yes, the person in the red top and the two people together are all looking out of the turret.
I've never seen anyone come out of the hull hatch (front of the tank) before. Old style tanks also had emergency hatches underneath and the people had to crawl to get out of it.
I wouldn't have wanted to climb in for a ride. I don't do well in cramped enclosed spaces.

@JudyEv I'm sure I'm still too large to fit in tight spaces, even though I've lost a lot of weight lately.

That’s cool! We have a lot of them around (since Fort Knox is nearby) but none that you can get in and take a ride in!

@JudyEv — that isn’t cheap, but it is a once in a lifetime thing. I’d pay it.

We have a Veteran's Park and I have seen tanks there but none operational. Bob was around a lot of tanks when he was in the Army.

It's nice that quite a few of the vehicles actually run.

Those look like interesting rides!
The Tanks look like smaller ones, may be acting as a supplement to the bigger tanks.
Are these of WWII or before?
I used to think that there are small steps to climb inside and out of the tank (through the upper opening or Turret).

Some bigger tanks could accommodate may be 3 people.
These ones look like suitable for one only.

I imagine those tank chambers are close and hot as well. I think the movie Fury was about tank warfare.

I would have been interested in riding a tank.
How much was the ride?

I can well believe what you say. It's didn't look a fun ride to me.

I've both seen a tank, been inside a tank, and ridden a tank before.

I'm afraid I might find the whole experience rather too claustrophobic!
There used to be a military museum near where I grew up, situated within a series of caverns. I remember visiting as a teenager. Some years after that the place closed and the vehicles, some of which were only on loan, all disappeared.
