So, I was at my group at the library today, and as I was leaving, I saw a man pulling a large cart filled with books. He said do you want some cookbooks? Of course I need them like a hole in the head, but he had some really good ones like Cake Bible a well known one and the Complete Book of Barbecuing. These were all hardcover. I will have fun looking at them tonight. I think he was donating all of them to the library. He said his wife had had a stroke and apparently she was not able to do baking. Sad, I should have asked her name, so I could have said a prayer for her.

@snowy22315 nowadays most people go to youtube or internet for recipes. It is nice when you have a cookbook

It would be nice to know her name, but you can pray for her anyway.

I'm so sorry about his wife.
It's nice of him to donate those books.

I will...but I am sure they will be parked on the shelf with all the other ones I don't use though before too long. I once was going to challenge myself to make a recipe out of one of the cookbooks once a week, but didn't last, I don't know if I made any.
