I'm going to a jigsaw/puzzle swap meet shortly

Shortly I’ll be going up to the clubhouse as they’re having a jigsaw/puzzle swap day. There are a lot of jigsaws in a drawer in the clubhouse so those will probably be up for grabs too so they can make room for some different ones. We are not supposed to take ones with pieces missing. I’m taking the jigsaw in the photo. I’ve done it already but don’t really want to do it again. It’s very dark and I guess I’d rather doing something a bit easier. It’s all very casual and if I only take one, it doesn’t mean I can only take one home. I’ve been told there will be plenty of puzzles and jigsaws to choose from.

I've come home with three new jigsaws to do. Once I've done them, they'll probably go back to the clubhouse.

@JudyEv Sure, just keep the exchange going. Sis and one of my nephews like to do jigsaws a lot.

When we can swap our puzzles, it saves us having to buy any.

When Pretty was getting us ready to move from our last house into this house, she gathered up all the puzzles we owned and we took them to the Assisted Living Facility in our city and donated them. We don't have room to put puzzles together anymore so thought those people might enjoy them. I hope you get some good ones at the puzzle swap.

@JudyEv We gave away our dining table when we moved here. It was too big to fit in the kitchen. I do have a glass table top I could lay in the living room floor and work on puzzles but Pretty gets agitated when I do that. She says there isn't room to walk through the house with the glass in the floor.

I'm sure your puzzles were appreciated. That's a good use for them. They do take room when you're working on them. I have a big board and do them on the table but if need be, I can more the board to the spare bedroom.

@DaddyEvil I understand. If you're doing a jigsaw you can't finish it in a day usually so it has to stay out somewhere. Do you ever do jigsaws online or is that too hard on your eyes?

That's true. We all chatted about which puzzles we thought were hard and which would be easy.

I love a good puzzle. Done multiple 1,000 ones before. I want to try my hands on 10,000 and one which I can hang up proudly in my house

@JudyEv I cannot find 2,000 ones here. 5,000 are very rare alongside with 10,000

My sister has three or four hanging in her house. 2,000 is the most I've ever tackled.

That is a really lovely jigsaw you've shown here. I wish that they had swaps locally here, although I doubt that Ron would attend any. He thoroughly enjoys completing a puzzle and then gluing it together to use as a mat for the coffee table. And they are rotated regularly so he can continue to enjoy his works of art.

One of the jigsaws offered yesterday had a sachet of glue with it. My sister has made some of her jigsaws into pictures for the walls.

@JudyEv That would be great. I wanted to start one yesterday but it was raining. That meant I had a huge doberman laying at my feet in the way

Some will stay in the clubhouse and we can borrow those whenever we want to.

That sounds like great fun Judy. I can understand why jigsaws with missing pieces are not required But I wonder if someone did a jigsaw with missing pieces, could the missing pieces be made. Then the jigsaws would be complete

I'm sure someone will enjoy doing the horse puzzle you're going to bring. Sounds like a fun day puzzle swapping. Hope you come back with some really nice ones, I've been thinking of getting my daughter a nice puzzle for her birthday next month. She needs a hobby

This is indeed tough and good that you could finish this puzzle. I did some puzzles with my son but gave them away. I am sure you will have a good selection to choose from.

I gave away quite a few when we shifted. I only OWN a couple now so it's good to be able to borrow others.
