So much clorophyll in my world. Looking outside now all I see is green and just a little bit of brown from the tree trunks. They were saying on the news yesterday, that the severe El Nino might cause us to have a very wet summer. Since we have been in a drought for God knows how long, that would be appreciated, besides it will keep temps down. It probably won't be good for crops, but we will have to see what happens. I hope it comes true though. Rain isn't pleasant, but it is better than excessive heat for sure. One summer it rained almost everyday. The few days it didn't rain were steamy hot. I wonder if it could be something like that? How is your rain situation...drought or no?

All green also here around, very warm and sunny. We still do not know what to expect for summer. We had rain during winter, we do not need to have too much rain in summer.

It is the super El Nino here which is sure to reel havoc in some form.

@snowy22315 - Very strong El Niño may cause a hotter summer, but the so called experts say that it's too early to be sure.

@LadyDuck Yes, it will be in places, but the SE will p robably be wetter than normal, not necessarily hotter. Nothing is cast in stone yet though. However, I am quite sure the Western states especially will suffer.

Drought. The green grass has turned brown. Water supply is now scheduled, which means we have to store as much water in between interruption schedules.

My area has been in what was termed to be a severe drought. But in the last several months we have first had snow sleet, hail, and way more rain than usual. The weather people claim we are no longer in a drought at this moment. We are supposed to have a horribly hot summer and I am dreading that.

Weatherman doesn't know what temps will bring, but he is betting it will be hot. I am thinking now it will be hot for nephew's September wedding.

@snowy22315 Those long, hot days we get sometimes that are 100+. Illinois weather is never boring, but I could live without those terribly hot days.

Some parts of England have only had 1mm of rain this month. It's dry here, and should be for the next week

I know it's been dry here but don't know if we're necessarily in a drought. Certainly hope we don't have a rainy summer. It would really be nice if Mother Nature cooperated and we had a gorgeous summer to make up for the lousy winter.

Summer here is never gorgeous. It is entirely too hot and buggy. We might get a nice day here and there, but then it will get brutally hot for like a week at a time to make up for it.
