Happy Friday Everyone! it's a nice sunny day here today with decent temperatures. Maybe it will be nice enough to sit outside and read this afternoon.
However, the landscapers are due here today to put down fertilizer so maybe sitting outside won't be a good idea
I don't even know how this conversation started by my daughter was talking about license plates (vanity ones) yesterday. It brought to mind a boy my son was friends with in elementary school and he would come over to play.
His name was Joey and named after his dad Joseph
His moms name was Debra and his sister was named after the mom and her name was also Debra.
One day when this boy Joey was at my house he said he needed to call his mom and I said fine (no cell phones back in those days). The phone is in the kitchen so go ahead and call her.
I heard him crying and went to see what was wrong and he said that he didn't know how to use the phone because it had no buttons to push. OMG I'm still laughing because we had a rotary phone hanging on the kitchen wall.
Showed him how to use the rotary, he got his call in to his mom and everything was okay.
Those old enough to be familiar with rotary phones will probably get a chuckle.
Anyway, I got sidetracked here because I was talking about license plates.
His dads license plate said Joe Joe-Deb Deb and we still laugh to this day when the memory hits us.
No one could ever forget that everyone in the family had the same name.

I remember the rotary phone ….oh, the good old days …..
I still have one somewhere I think ….
I think when the Grandkids come and moan that the internet has gone ( oh my goodness , it’s second only to the end of the world ), I should say use my phone, it doesn’t need internet … and give them the rotary phone …might be fun to watch them try to work out how to get Tik Tok on it …..

@Marilynda1225 We had phones like that. No need for an extension, just get an extra long cord.

Thats a really funny idea. Our rotary phone hung on the kitchen wall with a cord long enough to be able to walk through the house.

Oh boy..that is funny.
. Although they don't use it anymore, my parents still have a rotary dial phone.

That is funny. Rotary phones were so cooling their day with the long cords and the princess ones.
Poor fella.

That's cute about the plates.
Our last name is 10 letters long, but sounds like 2 words, for sure.
My MIL's plate was fourshur because all of the other versions of those 2 words had been used.
It was a lovely day here today, I spent it with my hubs and Harper and Willow.
I finally got my hubby to upgrade his cellphone.
He went from an apple iPhone 7 to 17, quite a jump, but he was being left behind in the tech world that we all exist in.

Poor kid. Most wouldn't know how to use a push button phone now.
That's a good plate
