Checked on my appeal for my husband's rehab costs from October of 2024. The case is still pending. Sheesh!
Breakfast - Granola bar
Lunch - Meals on Wheels - Corned beef sandwich, potatoes, cabbage and carrots, applesauce
Dessert/Snack - Nature's Bakery Brownie, low salt nuts
Dinner - PB&J sandwich, veggie stix, yogurt

That type of delay is ridiculous. I would think at this you could get insistent and not be out of line.

I have no recourse. It's up to the level of the Supreme Court now. I don't have a chance of winning anyway.

I wish you did. You paid out a LOT of money. I know you would do it all over again for him if you needed to. Dealing with insurance is nearly impossible.

The insurance company stopped paying the rehab costs because they said my hubby was "better". He was not. I want all that money back!!! I doubt I will win though.

@LindaOHio Obviously he wasn’t better. And what does an insurance company know about health? I hope you have a sharp attorney. I pray that you win.

@DianneN No attorney. I've done all the appeals myself. You send them logs from the rehab home, etc.; and that's what they base their decisions on.

I can't believe that rehab cost is still being pushed on you. Is there a way they can set you up on a payment plan, if you end up having to pay?

@LeaPea2417 Thank you; but it's not likely that I will win. I've lost all the other appeals. This one I believe is as high as I can go in the court system.

I ate a purple plum and a chicken and biscuit sandwich for breakfast yesterday, no lunch and ate some fresh strawberries and pizza for lunch. Then ate a bowl of Salted Caramel ice cream for dessert.
We checked my weight yesterday and I'm still slowly losing weight.

The bad news is that it can take a long time. The good news is they pay from the date of the original filing if you win the appeal.
I had the usual for lunch and grilled cheese for dinner. Fiber, yogurt, applesauce!
