I am hoping it clears out soon. I don't know if it is supposed to. We did get rain last night. And I was happy to see that my sponge gourds are finally starting to sprout. I will wait for it to dry some before I mow the patch for the stands.
At least it will be easy to dig holes to plant the cactus in. Filling them back in will be the fun part. I don't want thorns in me.

We started the day with heavy fog but a decent temp of 54F. We're supposed to get up to 75F today.
The cactus spines are the fun part, though.

@wolfgirl569 I stepped outside long enough to check the mail and then fought with the storm door trying to come back inside. Stupid door!

@wolfgirl569 I didn't get that nap today, maybe tomorrow, although it looks like it will be a sunny day and my son wanted me to come over, so doubtful that I will get a nap in at all this weekend.
I spent a bit of time doing my expense report for the trip, I had a few receipts that I had to pay out of pocket and will get reimbursed.

Thorns
Beware the thorns
I bet they could give you a right nasty stab.
Handling them must be a take care job as well.
Yvonne has been reading and she says there are cactus that will do ok here
I will be leaving ot to her to organise
I would worry about cats getting hurt by them

They are easy to pull out using tape. That helps.
Glad you can find some to plant. My cats don't seem to bother them.

We got over a half an inch of rain yesterday according to the weather service website. Nobody is complaining because we’re heading for a drought. It has cleared up here considerably.
