I hope everyone slept well last night. I know I did. Last night I got some pics from sis. They had the Jack and Jill wedding shower in Chicago on Saturday. The wedding party is fairly large. Anyway, sis says she brought home swag bags for my mother and I which was nice of her..I might not see her until the actual wedding in September though.
I was jus taking a survey about the development of an AI with feelings, copy of a human brain put into a lifelike human body. I mean aren't there enough chaos and problems in in the world without creating artificial humans with their own needs and issues? It sounds like sci fi, but no doubt..some lab somewhere..(probably in China) is already working on this

I hate AI. People are being dupped into believing that a machine can actually think but in reality those AI programs are created by simple humans who are prone to making mistakes just like you and me so if there's a glitch it's up to that stupid programmer to figure out what the problem is and fix it before those stupid things kill someone.
Or maybe we'll end up with Hal, do you remember the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey?
Talk about reality trying to copy sci-fi

Lots of unpleasant AI movies out there like Irobitt, and AI Artificial Intelligence which was a love story between a woman and a lifelike humanoid.gross! With AI you have to weigh the good against than bad lots of potential in medicine, science and things you would not want humans to do.

@rebelann I know that well aware of how it works..but they do things much faster than a human. Then can analyze and synthesize huge amounts of data, and come to generally reliable conclusions. It isn't without flaws but what is. If there weren't advantages to it, and almost unlimited potential people wouldn't be messing with it.

AI can only do what a programmer puts in his/her algorithm @snowy22315 and if there's a mistake it can take a long time to realize it then try to fix it. I don't trust the programmers who set up the AI garbage.

I did not sleep well.
I hardly slept at all
And it was not my fault.
I never got left in peace to sleep
Attacked from both sides
I surrendered meekly

Yes, we don't need that! The only advantage I could see with humanoid robots would be using them in battle to protect real humans or using them to diffuse bombs .( Something I think they may already be doing) Stuff like that

That was very thoughtful of your sister. My parents got married in September and the weather was very nice, so they have said.
As for robots with human feelings, they better quit doing that immediately. The consequences would be a devastation to humanity.

I think the idea is ridiculous really. Who wants or needs it? Even if you want them to be soldiers, it would be better if they didn't have feelings.

It reminds me a bit of Jurassic Park. Just because you can do something doesn't mean that you should.

The more I hear about AI the less I like it.

Oh my gosh Snowy, I just did that survey also!! Yes, it's a bizarre world that we live in now. I don't so much worry about what will happen in my lifetime but It does scare me for my kids and grandkids and future generations (if there is even a world at that time.)

I think they should only be reserved for special scenarios like going into battle..but in that case you still wouldnT need it, because you wouldnT want them to experience fear
