We just had our home broadband installed
Excellent.
The phones hotspots did an ok job with the smart TV
But this is different class
Yay for us
So glad that we got it now
So won't have to use the phone hot spot anymore
It's hard wired into the telly and that's the way I like I like I like it.
Feel a song coming on do you?
Are you happy for us that we now have home broadband

@Ineeddentures That's great it is, helps a ton I am sure.
With a better phone, it could be faster...but what is faster than lightning?

To be fair it's faster, but not that much faster.
It's more stable, that's for sure
And it has really improved them speed I lost on here at.
All the devices can be working online and all record the speed at about the max we get
So all in all I think it's quite good Dianne

Congrats! Do you have a router too? My laptop and phone are connected to my WiFi.

@Ineeddentures Awesome! I’ve never had to connect to a hotspot before. Not even sure how that works.

Well for the last decade we got by quite well using phone hotspot..
But I do see the difference.
The broadband is faster and makes the apps etc on the telly load faster
But if so didn't have it I would still be happy enough using a phone hot spot

That's wonderful. We've always had home broadband. Ours now is through Verizon for $25/mo for life

It's a bit faster than my hotspot on the phone
Pages on the telly load faster.
But the streaming is just the same I think
The broadband is more stable
25 per month for life is good, given most increase prices every year
