Is it corny now?

I heard a song by Boyz II Men on a commercial just now, and of course the words had been changed to fit the product it was advertising. Obviously, done that way the song becomes corny. However, I wondered if the music I listened to years ago, still held up today. And while I didn’t buy Boyz II Men music, I certainly heard it in the radio. We know @FourWalls has her expert opinions. What do you think of the music you listened to years and years ago?

@FourWalls has certainly brought me back in time with some of the songs she's posted. Funny how just hearing a song can bring back memories you had forgotten,

Aren’t you so sweet to mention me? Thank you for the positive thoughts! I read in Steve Goodman’s biography that his widow authorized Ex-Lax to use the line “good morning, America, how are you” from “City of New Orleans” in commercials….owing to the fact that the chemo made Goodman constipated, and he had a wicked enough sense of humor to appreciate it.

I still love to listen to my favorites and groups like the Monkees still sound great to me and make me smile and bring me back to yesterday.

I think it's the other way around. All the corny songs I despised as a teenager are really popular now, just look at ABBA!

I think a lot of the music from my time has stood up quite well over the years. But of course, I might be just a little bit biased.

I LOVE music from the 60s, 70s and some from the 80s. It holds up well.

I’m never sure about the “garage beat” music of the 1980s, but then I went to an 80s music show in Branson, Missouri, and I really liked it.

@AmbiePam I don't like all of the music from the 80s; but some is really good. The 80s had a lot of good movies too.
