Foiled by my Jimmy Buffett blanket!

One of the things that I asked my ex to bring to me after I got settled in here was my Jimmy Buffett fleece blanket. It has the covers of over a dozen of his albums on it. I wanted to have something in my room that reminded me of the apartment. In all honesty I was surprised that they let me have it (alcohol trigger for some) .
They did so I keep it spread on my bed when I'm in the room and I bring it with me to groups in case I get cold or want to snuggle up. A few people have commented on it but most haven't.
Anyway yesterday we did a bit of music therapy where we all wrote down a song and the clinician played a couple of them. She didn't know who chose which song as we didn't write our names. I selected "I Love This Beach" by Niko Moon because, well, I'm a beach baby and I enjoy the song.
When we went on break one of the other patients in the group came up to me and said "I know that was your song!" I asked him what gave me away. He said it was my JB blanket and he knew I love the beach. 
It would have been interesting to see if anyone else thought it was my song.

Many of us have a favorite blanket. I have my 2 favorites--one is a big super soft fleecy blanket my youngest girl gave me (she always worries that I get cold easily!) and the other is a favorite throw blanket covered with shamrocks from my favorite Aunt. That one has been crammed in many a suitcase over the years...it's lightweight and so soft.

That's a great quilt. I'm sure it would have been a comfort to have had it with you.
