Walmart Patents?

Walmart is supposed to have digital pricing in all stores by the end of 2026. To protect this new pricing technology, they have gotten patents. So, they can change pricing every six seconds. This pricing will individually target customers and how they shop, what items, how often, how they purchase items and even what they might huver over while on the website. They will then charge people according to how often they buy a certain item or don't. They will then have these in-depth profiles on their customers. They have gotten patents that will help them carry this out. If you buy a lot of toilet paper, you will pay a different price than the guy across the aisle who doesn't. How fair is that? One more thing to thank A I technology for I guess.

I did see a vlogger on You Tube saying that digital shopping will be in supermarkets soon.

I wonder how much business Walmart will lose because of this.

@celticeagle I'd probably still shop there since we don't have many options, but many might stop

I think the patents would have to be for it all to be illegal.

That doesn't sound legal to me.

It's not a lot different than shopping with a reward card in Tesco and someone shopping in the same store without one I won't shop anywhere that changes price every 6 seconds And if things are not price marked on the lack I won't buy them Everyone should pay the same price regardless of how much of what they buy or don't buy Or am I getting old??

Yes, everyone should but they won't be after this goes into effect at Walmart.

That sounds a bit odd but I guess if that's what they want to do, they'll do it.
