Crazy Happenings Here Yesterday

Happy Tuesday and Happy Cinco de Mayo . We have a beautiful sunny day with nice warm temperatures. Looks like a perfect day to spend some time outside. Meanwhile, I have to tell you about the big fiasco here yesterday afternoon. I was in the kitchen making my lunch and I see this medium size white dog roaming around being followed by a small little brown dog. I thought both dogs belonged to my neighbor behind me because his dogs get loose all the time and he chases them around yelling "get back here". But, he didn't come out and I didn't hear him calling them so I guess they weren't his dogs. Both dogs were having a grand time running and frolicking through the whole community and they probably were happy to be off leash. Somone posts on our community Facebook page that there are dogs running around loose moreso that whoever they belong to knows they are loose. The person posting this describes the dogs. (we get an alert when someone posts on our page) Now you would think this would be the end of it and not turn into a whole big hoopla. Well, someone else posts....those aren't dogs, they're wild coyotes!!! I saw them come out of the woods behind the community. I know they aren't coyotes but now it causes concern from the president of the HOA who is at work and nowhere near home. This blows up into a whole big thing with board members trying to figure out what the heck is going on while they're all at work. OMG what a crazy afternoon. People can certainly cause a panic for absolutely no reason. Thankfully the owner of the dogs rounded them up and no, they weren't wild coyotes. I still don't understand how someone could mistake them for coyotes. Probably city folks

Hubby has the Next Door App and people on there will make things up like when there's a sound of fireworks or something they'll say "Major shooting happening!"

I had the Next Door app for a few months and the main thing people were posting were Bible verses two or three times a day. I deleted the app.

That's just too funny! They came out of the woods, so they HAVE to be coyotes! Everybody knows dogs don't go into the woods!

Maybe they just said that to start a panic for a laugh. Or else they really are totally ignorant.

I think they are just ignorant and didn't purposely try to cause a panic. Coyotes running through our yards would be crazy

Stories like this are what aided FB to be referred to as farcebook. Such a shame, as when there really are sightings of something to be fearful of, nobody will believe it.

Some people like to cause drama. Glad the dogs didn't get hurt because of it
