How do dark and gloomy days affect you?

Add rain to the dark and dreary, and I find that the perfect scenario for a nice peaceful nap. The deep gloom and the sound of the rain can be very tranquil and relaxing for me.
We have had a lot of storms, gloom, and rain lately. I find myself wishing it was mostly just raining at night, as it often is soothing enough to lull me into sleep. The thunder and lightning doesn’t even bother me much at night,as long as it’s not a wild and crazy storm. I do appreciate sunshine in the daytime, though.
Son said it best -that the rain on the roof was the very best sleeping aid.

@MarieCoyle - We finally got two umbrellas and walked to our appointment because we feared hail. We came back home all wet despite the umbrella.

It usually puts me in a down mood. Today is a bright sunny day, but the next two aren't going to be so nice I think, but we do need the rain so it's a trade off.

If only we could just pick when we want it to rain. That would be so cool. Son and I would pick that it rains at night, as it helps us sleep!

It rained overnight here last night. It’s sunny and cool today.
It depends on the time of year, I think. I tend to sleep if it’s dreary in the winter, but in spring or summer I have a tendency to do housework or ignore the weather (unless it’s severe).

We had a light rain/drizzle for most of the night. Supposedly, the sun was supposed to shine, but we haven't seen that happen yet. I guess time will tell on that one.
In the winter, if it's dreary and cold, it feels good to sit and snuggle awhile under a nice warm blanket...and enjoy a little snooze!

Heavy downpours and thunder coupled with fast winds and lightening never disturb me. Instead, they help me have a sould sleep. They don't disturb me even when I'm out of my house and in an open space.
