How do dark and gloomy days affect you?

Add rain to the dark and dreary, and I find that the perfect scenario for a nice peaceful nap. The deep gloom and the sound of the rain can be very tranquil and relaxing for me.
We have had a lot of storms, gloom, and rain lately. I find myself wishing it was mostly just raining at night, as it often is soothing enough to lull me into sleep. The thunder and lightning doesn’t even bother me much at night,as long as it’s not a wild and crazy storm. I do appreciate sunshine in the daytime, though.
Son said it best -that the rain on the roof was the very best sleeping aid.

It usually puts me in a down mood. Today is a bright sunny day, but the next two aren't going to be so nice I think, but we do need the rain so it's a trade off.

I am sure before long we will have those roasting hot days and I dread them. But unfortunately we can’t control our weather.

Once again, our day was gloomy--light rain pretty much all day. Tomorrow we should see the sun again.

If only we could just pick when we want it to rain. That would be so cool. Son and I would pick that it rains at night, as it helps us sleep!

Storms don't bother me - I actually kind of like them. But gloomy rainy days make me very depressed. Winter was hard with Seasonal Affective Disorder.
