Okay well I always call this place "the apartment" but this afternoon it felt like home when we walked in. My ex arrived at the facility at 3:30pm so I was able to participate in everything except tai chi. My heart wasn't broken about that. When my ex arrived I showed him around the main building and the grounds. When we were leaving I saw a younger woman who is staying in the women's house. I called her name and waved. She jumped up, ran across the room, and gave me a big hug. I introduced her to my ex saying "Young Woman this is Ex. Ex this is Young Woman." My ex said "oh I know Young Woman". She and I were confused. Well apparently one of his post-divorce friends is related to her or is an honorary aunt or something and he had seen her at a couple of Thanksgivings at the friend's house. The whole thing was hysterical. We made it back here and into the apartment. Yes the rumors are true and it does smell like cat pee. I'm not fine with it but I didn't flip out. I just lit some candles, my ex opened some windows, and I got to unpacking. I will deal with cleaning the rug later and tomorrow. I can't get it all done immediately so I am not going to stress over it. The ex and I sat and chatted for a bit and then he headed home to get some of the work he missed this afternoon done. At the moment I am sitting down and making a grocery list. I will write more about that in detail later or tomorrow. I also have to order a pill box so I can keep track of all of the meds I'm on now. If I was still at the facility I would have taken my night meds and been in bed by now. I'm wide awake. Guess it is the change of scenery and the fact that I have so much to do. What's everyone else up to tonight?

Were the cats excited to see you? Or did they ignore you like some suggested they would after being gone for a little while. Hopefully, you can get some of the cat pee smell out, but I’m sure it can be greatly improved. Welcome home, girl!

That's a bit of a shame about the smell but as you say, you can't do everything at once. Fancy Ex knowing Young Woman. You never know who knows who these days.
