Well, What a Royal Pain in the You-Know-What

Just when the season starts, that's the last time you want to run into a problem. But things break when you need them, while you're using them. That's just how it works. But what a royal pain in the you-know-what.
I went for my lunch date with my mom and sister at Sugarfire. Finished up the neurology appointment with mom. And when I got home I decided to cut the grass.
Halfway through cutting the front all of a sudden, my rider mower just stopped moving. Wouldn't go forwards or backwards. I am sure it's something with the drive belt. So, it will have to go in the shop because repairing that is just a job I can't do anymore.
The problem is, small repair shops are notorious for long lead times, and so who knows when I get my mower back to use, and the grass grows like weeds.
I do have a self-propelled push mower, so I can still get the grass cut. But it's hell on my back and takes me three times as long. I guess it is what it is. Nothing I can really do about it.
I'm just going to have to suck it up.

Oh my god lol
You are a young man
I cut my grass with a mower I have to push without the aid of a motor.
You have a self propelled mower.
You pull the throttle , it goes forward
Your back will be fine
Spare a thought for me , I'm a poor old man and aincant afford for my back to get hurt
I would miss my fortnightly fun with Yvonne and Siobhan

@Ineeddentures I'll suffer it out. I'm cheap, you know, and it's bad enough the repairs on the rider will probably sting me $300 plus. As for my back, I blame it on being young and stupid once. Flying over the handlebars of a dirt bike at 13 trying to jump a dirt pile and landing on my head after the chain slipped. I've fallen down three flights of stairs. Not all at once. Three separate times. I've rolled a car. I drank with my buddies in a tree house and missed the ladder getting out to pee, landed on my shoulder and tumbled and rolled.
It all comes back to us at some point, and so, at 52 (I'll be 53 in June), I have the back of an 80-year-old. lol

Not good
Arthritis in your back at such a young age , not good
Don't go pushing a lawn mower
Or walking behind one on grass
Pay someone to do it
I would, eh and sometimes do lol

How come you won’t hire someone to do the grass for you? Or do they charge an arm and a leg for their services?
