What’s on tap for your weather weekend?

Well, my favorite (least obnoxious) news channel has let our weatherman take over the network, and has for quite awhile. They’re letting me know by the minute the storm will hit our town, isn’t that nice? We’ve apparently got five storms working tonight, although only one is going to directly get my area. Mostly just very large hail coming. I just don’t want the electricity to go out. It’s too hot and muggy to mess with that.

I’m sorry, big hail is always a huge concern. When a storm knocks out the power, it seems like it almost always happens at night! When it’s forecasted to get nasty our meteorologists are on and programming is cut off. But they have kept me and the family safe many times.

Well, shoot. We are fortunate, ours seem to be nice fellows, not obnoxious or anything. Two of ours have been on our main station for quite some time. Another has for several years, those three are the best. The fourth one has only been around for about a year or so. We almost always have one meteorologist that is a newbie or just starting out, fresh out of college, because of the university. Then the fourth one usuall stays a while and finds his wings and flies. That's how you got one of our young meteorologists!

@LindaOHio about nine hours total, but I went to my dad’s for the night. I didn’t want to be stuck in pitch black for hours on end if I could help it.

Saturday is going to be a bit of a mixed weather day. Sunday will be warm, a bit too warm I think an sunny.

The storms weren’t nearly as bad as a couple of weeks ago. Our electricity went out, and was out for a good nine hours, but that’s nothing like the F-4 tornado that hit a couple towns over last month. That took out entire neighborhoods. Thankfully, no one was killed.

Luckily, my car is okay. Because I remember well every car in my parking lot, including mine, that was totaled in a hail storm. And of course, I ran into a resident with the nicest car who only had liability. I felt terrible for her.
My electricity went out, but the storm was well over when it went out so I’m not sure what happened.
