My big oops

I take my phone to church with me. Various reasons why. I either silence it, or put it on "do not disturb", which is what I did today. For DND you need to put your phone face down, so I took it out of my purse and put it face down on the pew. After church I picked up everything, and left. Except I left my phone. I did not really miss it. I do not use it much, but I wanted to see if my daughter had messaged me. That is when I realized I could not find my phone. I called myself with Bob's phone. No ringing in the house or in the car, and then I remembered. I put it face down on the pew beside me. I could not do without it, because I am expecting some important calls, so I drove the half hour back to church. I have a key, and I went in and got it, turned around and came back home. I wish everything I keep losing was that easy to find. Sure did hate to waste that much gas.

I would turn off my phone and keep it in my purse, I cannot understand why you are asked to put the phone face down on the pew. I am glad your phone was still there.

I’m glad you had the key to the church.

I am like you. I cannot live without it. I will make it in a silence mode not to disturb others.

It's so easy to do this but, as you say, what a waste of petrol.
