Special lunch for Moms Birthday.

So, Moms Birthday is on the 18th … a Monday. Not good as The Mister will be away at work. So, we are having a special lunch at our house on Sunday.
By special request I am doing a prawn cocktail…..then a steak meal, rosemary potatoes, mushrooms, onion rings ….
I was going to make a pudding , however, she has requested Tiramisu ….ive never made that before so I am going to chicken out and buy one.

@Traceyjayne - My husband did not remember that it was his birthday, but he was happy that we celebrated him. Poor guy, he remembers nothing.

It would have been my Dads Birthday on the 13th….it was a difficult day without him.

You know I love a good Tiramisu! It is absolutely delicious, and it is my go to restaurant birthday dessert (on the rare occasion I get one). Fried chicken and fried potatoes would be my favorite birthday meal. My birthday is in March, but I should really plan on having that when it comes around.
And a very happy early birthday wish to your mother!

Yesterday was my daughters birthday so we went to the Outback steak house and had a delicious meal. Coconut shrimp for appetizers, steaks as our main course and passed on dessert and then got Frappuccinos from Starbucks on our way home.
Your special birthday dinner for your mom certainly sounds delicious and even a store-bought Tiramisu is delicious.

@snowy….we were thinking of going out for a meal, but then she mentioned the prawn cocktail and steak meal so we thought we would do that. We may be going out to eat tonight too.

@DianneN. Mom has never been bothered about a cake …..she bakes every week anyway so to her I guess it wouldn’t be anything special. I, on the other hand, love a chocolate cake.
