Respect is Gone

It has reached the stage where news reporters preface Trump's claims with the terms 'unverified' or 'unsupported' making it clear that what drooled out of the American President's mouth might very well be another lie.
When he visits a country they often play his ego and because he is stupid he doesn't pick up the side sneers, insults, and, of course, manipulations.
The whole world sees him as a mix of clown/idiot/bully, which should have led to impeachment.
Now many of us in the Third World lost trust and reliance on the US years ago.
They gave us huge loans we couldn't pay back which allowed them to step in and use us, so we 'migrated' to China and other nations to cut down on our connection to America.
When he is gone it will take a very long time for the US to regain the respect it once had, if ever.

My grandson made the comment the other day ...''Grandma, I used to be proud to be from the US''...but now, he isn't so proud. Many of us aren't. No country could really respect us now, the way things are. Thinking about all the damage he has done is heartbreaking--and scary.

I think our presidential powers need to be re-evaluated ASAP. No one should be able to pardon themselves, that's just so wrong.
There has been some concern that Trump might pardon Epstein's girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell. If he does that, I think it won't end well...people will be angry.

it is embarrassing. For then one begins to question why and how he got into office, how he has been able to continue.
One looks at how Brasil dealt with it's version of Trump, how other nations force resignations.. Waay back when Nixon did his Watergate... did he force the newspaper to close or fire the journalists? Did he howl about fake news? No. Nixon left.
And, looking over history I thought Nixon was a disgrace... now... I see him with different eyes, considering what is in office now.
And you know before he leaves he will pardon himself and his cohorts

He doesn't know how to tell the truth,in part because he doesn't know what it is. Absolutely everything he does is self serving as well.

Your last sentence makes me ill to think of. He has done so much damage. Anyone with any sense doesn't believe a word out of his mouth.
