The Noise Level is Up

I do not love how these lawn people have taken it upon themselves to start earlier with the noise. And the customers at Taco Bell(which is just across our side street) have gotten to partying in the parking lot in the late evenings again. There is a car alarm that goes off about 10p. Or 11p. each evening and goes on for what seems like forever. I thought he'd gotten it fixed. I don't ask for much, just complete quiet after 10p. Is that too much? Am I a brat?

@celticeagle I feel your pain. Some people are so unaware of the distress noise can cause. We had a neighbour who always cut his grass after dark because he claimed it recovered more quickly that way. Even if that were true people’s sleep is more important than his lawn looking pretty.

Many people think it's all about them.

Cutting grass after dark is a myth; it does not help grass recover more quickly. In fact, mowing at night can lead to more "bleeding" due to dew and other moisture, which may harm the grass.

No, that's not too much to ask. You can always call the police and ask them to check and see if the guy is okay since you keep hearing his car alarm go off at night.

I am sorry you are having problem with those noises, I hope they will stop. I hope they will implement time for cleaning and time limit for parties at night.

That would be nice. Some people just don't think about what time it is and how noisy they may be.

Continual noise late at night is very annoying. I'd be cross too.

Right. And it is the time of year I like to open my window when it cools off out doors.

People should keep the noise level down after 10 pm.

I think so too. But I don't think customers in the drive-thru realize how loud they are. I hate to yell out at them like some deranged neighbor.

You are entitled.tp your peace and quiet, I don't mind a bit of noise if there is a party going on on the gardens here late at night We all get on, it's always good natured and it doesn't annoy any of the neighbours because we are all at the party anyway

I am and I think that some people going through the drive-thru don't realize how loud they are. I like to open my window this time of year.
