Treating myself

So I thought I would give myself a little treat. I always liked wearing earrings but didn’t have my ears pierced. As a teenager my mum wouldn’t allow it and later I was worried it might induce some sort of growth because I do sometimes get lumps within my ear lobes and someone I know did end up with a lumpy growth like a bunch of grapes. And then you see older women with big droopy ear-lobes; I didn’t think that was a good look either . There’s a reason older ladies often wear big fancy clip-ons! I would wear clip-on earrings for special occasions but they were always rather uncomfortable or even painful after a while. Now though I have discovered how to make earrings that are comfortable to wear. And earrings are also super easy to make. The best designs are the simplest; adding too many bits and pieces doesn’t work, it’s definitely a case of ‘less is more’.
