Five years ago our city revived an activity that was popular in the 70.s and maybe before. It is a motorcycle Grand Prix where they race through town and outside of town through the hills etc. Across the street from my house is a field that used to be a football field. The city rents camping spaces for the Memorial Day Weekend festivities. They provide trash dumpsters, porta potties, and cold running water. The campers started arriving here yesterday. They come with pets, and kids, and bicycles and of course motorcycles. Camping gear from primitive to modern. I think they have a lot of fun.
