Good morning from Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. It's almost noon here and 62 F. It's sunny and pleasant.
I need a break before my mind explodes. I said I would be here today to find out how you all are doing. Yes, I've been writing all morning. Some writing, some worldbuilding. It's a good mix.
I got more than 8 hours of sleep last night. I needed it. I've been pushing through for the past week on pure adrenaline, I think. That and my back hasn't cooperated very well over the past week. Right now, my back is doing well. Might be all the sleep I got last night, or the lack of rain in the forecast.
I just opened the patio door and turned off the heat. Yes, I had it on for a little while. I live in the coldest apartment in the complex right next to the underground parking garage with the door that opens every few minutes.
There's a nice gentle breeze and the birds are chattering in the trees. Every year we get a new variety of birds in the trees. My first year here they were the morning doves. Last year it was crows. This year we have cardinals and blue jays. It's nice to hear their soft chirping compared to the loud caws of the crows. I haven't seen the blue jays yet. My neighbor has. I've seen the cardinals and the robins.
So, right now, I'm going to try to get caught up with the notifications before I get back to New Horizons - Beginning. It's science fiction and the first in the series, which needs the worldbuilding.
How is your day going? Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me.

It's 1:29, 11°C, and raining, raining, raining. And it'll continue to rain all day and night, into tomorrow. I don't like it. Feels like winter's back.
I had planned to tackle the weeds in the driveway today, but...

@just4him Not your fault... or IS it?

@BarBaraPrz No, it's not my fault. I only want colder weather and snow HERE by me. I don't wish it on those who don't like it. So, don't worry. It wasn't from me.

Glad to see great updates from your side after a long time.
I have not been actively coming here due to many reasons.
Changed priorities, office and personal matters and many more.
Good beginning on the Science Fiction!
Here it is quite "boiling" with 43 C plus.
Some places in India are near 48 C and well, cases of heatstroke and dehydration do appear in newspapers.
Governments are making efforts to keep things under control though.

It did rain a few days.
Yet today it is hot again.
Seems like close to 40 C with additional humidity.
Electricity bills are on the rise.

You're right. I take that day on Sunday. It's a good day to just relax away from the computer.

Glad to hear you got an 8-hour rest. Always a good feeling to get a full night's sleep. I went to be super late last night, and was excited to sleep in this morning. But nope, woke up at 6:30am after about 5 hours of sleep, wide awake! But then later this afternoon I took a 3-hour nap on the couch! lol

@just4him I just had a whopper of a sleep on the day after my birthday weekend celebration…I slept for 14 straight hours! The heat and humidity and 12 hour days at Disney wiped me out!

World building is describing the planet and the people so people know what it looks like. You know what Earth looks like and if someone were to tell you something about San Francisco, you know all about it. That's what worldbuilding is. Making the world so people can see what it looks like and the people too.

Thanks for the update. Today I'm going to rest my arms as much as I can. The shoulder pain is more bearable when I don't aggravate it. I like the cardinal and the seahorse.

during summer, it's good that your apartment is the coldest. pigeons were disturbing me before a while ago; i don't like them when they are coming on my window. a light breeze is nice to feel.

@just4him thank you. my apartment is at last floor, jsut under the roof and i am surprised how heat doesn't bother them, even in the evening.

that keep me away from here.
Now, I managed to peek in here and try to catch up.
