Today is World Turtle Day

This day was established in the year 2000 by a non- profit organization called American Tortoise Rescue. It is to highlight the plight of the tortoise. The day is celebrated in over 190 countries. Their aim is educating people about threats such as illegal wildlife trade, habitat destruction, and pollution.

that's a great day. i love turtles. i think i saw a video recently of the 2 male turtles fighting. it was funny

I'm a bit surprised that turtles survive as well as they do. They seem to have a lot stacked against them.
