An Installation in Bunbury, Western Australia

I don’t think I’ve written about the installations in the photo before. I hope not. They’re in Bunbury and I couldn’t help taking a photo of the pelican with its nest behind it. I’m guessing it’s the nest but I couldn’t find any real evidence about what sort of nests pelicans make. Pelicans are quite plentiful in the Bunbury area.
This is a bit short for me but we’re going to the movies tonight and seeing a Michael Caine film called Is Anybody There? It’s about someone with early dementia so it might be hitting a bit close to home. I really enjoy watching Michael Caine. He’s a great actor. I read his autobiography which was really enjoyable too.

I like this kind of sculpture, they last a long time.
Michael Caine is excellent. My favourite film is The Man who would be King. He has also popped in cameos. In The Meaning of Life, he is fighting Zulus, in a blink and you'll miss him. Much harder to spot, after being in the film Battle of Britain, his voice crops up in Dunkirk, leading a flight of Spitfires.

I hope you have/had a great time at the film. I love the sculpture! (Photos show the actual nests made of branches, so a little less “traditional nest-looking” than that sculpture…but who cares, it’s great!)

I like that a lot, Back in the countryside in Latvia you can see real bird nests on top of poles like that and sometimes several all in a row, Enjoy the movie,

@JudyEv o,i see.that happens.i also remember a.hopkins acting as a father who suffered from dementia but it was a tough movie to watch.i think i skipped some parts.

I thought it is a way to call the birds... lol! But that's very artistic.
That is something I do not want to have when I get old. Are you having one? Why did you say "it closed to home"? I hope not. And I am praying not in Jesus name, Amen.

Being in a retirement village and the age we are, there are some here with early dementia and we all wonder when/if we will be stuck down with it. That's why I wrote 'close to home'.

We ended up seeing About A Boy through a bit of a mix-up. We'll watch the other one another time.

The one I read is What's It All About. He's written a couple of non-fiction books and one fiction.
