A Night of Heat, Sweat and Darkness.

Last night around 11pm, we heard a loud blast or explosion and after that, the electricity went out. Up to now, we still don’t have power and it honestly feels like living in hell because of the heat. We tried to survive using the power station to keep a fan and lamp running, but after almost 9 hours, it already drained completely. The air feels so heavy and sticky without any ventilation.
What makes it more frustrating is that only two streets are affected, including ours. Seeing nearby areas with electricity while we continue sweating in the dark somehow makes it feel worse. I just hope the electric company fixes the problem soon because staying this long without power during this hot weather is already exhausting.

Hope you get to use your power station during this time.

@rakski sorry to hear about this. More than 24 hours without power is just nerve wrecking.

I can relate what you are going through since in the summer in Lake Charles the heat outside feels like an oven.
