Sometimes frogs and toad sounds at night are frightening

Frogs and toads are frightening. Whenever the night is very quite and there are no movements. If there is darkness. In that scenario if one ventures near a pond or waterbody and hears the frog or toad sound it really can make an impact.

We have some big bullfrogs that live here, as we have two lakes (although I call one of them a pond, it's name is Twin Lakes) anyway, I love to hear the bullfrogs at night...they are loud but I don't mind them at all. The neighbors enjoy them, too.

When I go camping, especially at this time of year, I hear them but mostly during the daytime.

I don't think they are frightening, I actually like to hear them.

My grandma told me before that if we hear sound from the frogs during night time it means that there's a possibility that a heavy rain is approaching on the following day.
