Done, and done

Just a couple of good things. I am now officially on the "payroll" to care for my husband. Just as I did for my sister. I had to learn all the ins and outs of the time keeping app that they prefer. I did that earlier this week, by guessing mostly. There were training videos available. You know how those are. Well, hubby has to approve my shifts. You know I have to help with that as well. I had to learn how it is done, and guessing was not getting me there. I gave up and watched the videos, so that he could approve my hours this last week. Today was the end of the pay period. I will be paid June 15. Also done. . .plumbing repairs. So he 1. fixed the drain pipe in the west bathroom sink. 2. Caulked around the same sink. 3. Unclogged the east bathroom toilet. 4. replaced the flush handle on that toilet. (We had already purchased it.) 5. Bought and installed a new flapper in that toilet. 5. fixed leaks in the west kitchen sink, on both sides, which is the only kitchen sink that gets water. I had rather use the east kitchen but the water does not run. 6. snaked out the clog to that sink. It had a clog somewhere in the wall. All of that came to less than $500. I am impressed. There are future plans for trouble shooting the east sink and getting it to work. Also installing some ceiling fans which I already have. Of course we had church this morning. We had lunch at Braums and I will tell more about that tomorrow. I also made a quick Walmart run and a stop at the ATM. I am going to bed now, okay? Have a good night or day and I will see you soon.

My sister and brother-in-law get paid so many hours a week for taking care of Hudson. They can give the money to anyone they get to help take him to therapy and such, but right now they do it. They tried to get me to move down there and do it (they don’t have to report who they give the money to), but I told them I’m too unreliable to count on with my health. Then they tried to get my dad to move down there and pay him to do it, but he doesn’t want to move right now. It must feel good to finally have those plumbing issues fixed.

There is still more to fix, but yes, life feels easier with these repairs out of the way.

The plumbing has certainly been annoying. I will get my first check June 13.

It's really nice to have good things to report, isn't it? You'll be pleased to have those plumbing issues taken care of. Will the same guy fix the ceiling fans or will you have to employ someone else?
