Happy Monday and Happy June! as always the weekend flew by and today we start off a new week and a new month with beautiful blue skies, sunshine and nice warm temperatures. Not too hot but comfortable enough to wear summer weight clothes.
My oldest daughter and my son in law left yesterday for a cruise to Bermuda. Both my granddaughter and grandson didn't go as they have "adult" obligations like working
My granddaughter came over for lunch yesterday and spent the afternoon with us so that was nice. She is a chatterbox so there is never a lull in conversation.
My grandson was working (he's home from college) and works at our local grocery store. After work he was going to the gym and then meeting some friends.
Today I have stuff to do around the house (nothing exciting) and then hopefully can spend some time outside this afternoon.
Of course I'm having my coffee and checking to see what's happened here over the weekend before getting involved in those wonderful house chores.
Hope you're having a good day

I hope that they have a great time on their cruise.
I know how much you enjoy your grandchildren visiting, and having a Chatty Cathy for part of the day would be fun.
That is what I was for my Gramma when I was really young, and as I grew up, began to listen more to her, and the ways and reasons why she did certain thing in certain ways. I loved to hear the how and why behind that, it bave me more appreciation of how she lived her life during those times.

My granddaughter definitely is a Chatty Cathy and I do enjoy her visits. She's almost 25 now and has been a chatterbox from the time she could utter her first words.

@Marilynda1225 That's our Harper.
I don't know what to do with Harper, especially. They are both going through a growth spurt. Harper, in particular, is a carnivore. It pulls at my heart strings when I think back to when she was so tiny and on that feeding tube during her first couple of weeks of her life.
Today Grandpa brought some round steak, that I did in the pressure cooker. I love that the pressure cooker will make 'good' on cheaper cuts of meat such as round steak. The girls thought it was roast, and they gobbled it up along with some leftover mashed potatoes. They each had some blueberries and he sliced them up each an apple. Willow suggested that she likes juicy apples, after she saw that Grandpa had one to eat, and when he told her that he would share it, they both gobbled up their plates, and ate 3/4 of that apple too.
Tonight Mommy was making a grocery list and asked what they'd like for lunches. They both replied Nanny's noodles and her burgers. My DIL texted me asking me what meat I use in my pasta sauce, she already knows what label if pasta sauce I used from a previous question. I now have a few days worth of pasta boiling, and will get the sauce added to it. And on Wednesday, she can have leftover potatoes from our supper last night, and leftover burgers, which they both love, to go with it.
But......I feel badly for my son (who is the chief cook) and my DIL, as they cannot seem to even buy the apples that the babies like.
Maybe the way to their hearts is through their little tummies.

It sure is beautiful outside today, although it it is a 95 degrees day. With the heat and humidity it makes life somewhat difficult, but that’s not a surprise. I’m so glad you got to have lunch with your granddaughter yesterday too. I loved getting to have lunch with my grandparents, that’s for sure.

It's really nice here today and although it's warm, it's nice. Not too hot or humid. Mush and I were able to spend some time outside. I read my book and she enjoyed laying in the sunshine. I'm sure it feels good on her old bones. My neighbor is busy working on his deck so she had to keep an eye on him and make sure he was doing it right

Pretty routine day here and it was nice enough to be able to spend part of the afternoon outside.

Can't believe June is here already. I guess your kids will be finishing school soon and be happy to have the summer off.

Glad you had a break in the heat and humidity. It was beautiful here today and I actually got to enjoy some outside time. Pretty soon it will be too hot but I'll enjoy it while I can.

Feeling kind of off today. May felw by so quickly I was afraid to accept June because then perhaps it would just as quickly go away

I kind of know what you mean. May did fly by and I am finding it hard to accept how fast time is flying by.

Just now
Our friends have flown to Barcelona and are joining a cruise there. It's going to be a whole lot hotter than it is here at the moment. I hope the couple have a great time.
